Fat Joe Attends Grand Opening Of His New Sneaker Store In Harlem

As an enthusiastic sneaker owner and devotee, Fat Joe, or Joseph Cartagena, has finally launched his new sneaker shop in Harlem, New York. He has teamed up with 19-year-old Scotty Spina and has named the store UPNYC in reference to his award winning single “All The Way Up”. Spina speaks on Cartagena saying, “Fat Joe is my big brother, he supports everything I do and even gave me a Terror Squad chain.” Joe has called the sneaker shop “the Guggenheim museum of sneakers” and also says in an interview, “You gotta understand most of us grew up in poverty with a dream and all the stripes against us. The fact we’re able to make music, make money, have fans, and make our dreams come true – we really gotta appreciate that” Well we praise that statement Joe! Even some of Fat Joe’s friends stopped by to chat and kick it with the rapper. Even former rival 50 Cent stopped by along with DJ EFN, Smoke DZA, Remy Ma and more. Joe posts on Instagram a video of 50 Cent rolling up to the store and taking a video with the fans outside.
